UB Hacking is University at Buffalo's student-run hackathon. Students from different backgrounds with any-level of experience are welcome to join us as they build fun, innovative projects over 24 hours.
Eligibility
- Accepting applications from high school, college, and graduate students only.
- Team sizes must be 1-4 people (all meeting the requirements)
- All team members must be registered for UB Hacking 2020 on ubhacking.com, and all have RSVP'd yes to the event.
- All team members must have agreed to the UB Hacking Code of Conduct and the MLH Code of Conduct.

UB Hacking First Place
The first-place team will receive a total of $2000

The second-place team will receive a total of $1500
UB Hacking Third Place
The third-place team will receive a total of $1000
UB Hacking Best Freshman Hack
$750 will be awarded to a team where the entire team is made up of either Freshmen or High Schoolers and they have the best submission.
UB Hacking Lead-a-Newbie Prize
Best submission from a team half comprised of first-time hackers and at least one veteran will win $750
Best Hack to build a "Smart" Tech Hub Ecosystem 1st place
♚ 1st Place: $250 for each winning team member from a prize catalog
♚ 2nd Place: A coffee chat with one of our M&T Technologists for each winning team member
Research the concepts and design principles of Smart Cities and Smart Campuses to drive innovation in our new Tech Hub at Seneca One. Showcase your ideas to create new experiences and services leveraging smart technologies - which are connected to the Internet and AI-driven - to improve various aspects of the employee and guest experience on Seneca One Tech Hub campus. You should attend M & T SMART Description event Saturday @ 1pm.
